Yr Allt (pronounced Er act) is a 300 years old stone farm cottage, set in the hills on the fringes of the majestic Snowdonia National Park.
Resting in mid Wales lays a remote valley between the Dyfi Valley and Cambrian mountains. Bordering miles of untouched National forest it is the ideal place for those who want to experience the dramatic, breathtaking scenery and exhilarating riding this country has to offer. Heather covered hills, rocky gorges hiding rivers and streams, craggy mountains and thick forest where Pheasants, Owls and Dragonfly freely roam - truly a spectacular country.
Whether you’re on horseback or cycling, running or walking. or even maybe a little slower, just for a relaxing holiday with a difference, why not let us help you to re-discover Wales.
What can I expect from the area or what can I do?
There is excellent riding to be undertaken in the nearby Dyfnant forest, on tracks known as the Rainbow Rides, this is because of the colored way markers, (....and luckily nothing to do with the weather!)
These vary in:
Rides from 5 miles to 16 miles of varied terrains,
Carriage routes of 5 miles and 11 miles are also available.
Excellent facilities available, Corrals, picnic benches and tethering posts.
A must do, whilst in the area.
We have maps we can loan of the local areas, available for your use, whilst out cycling/riding/walking.
Beach riding along the Dyfi estuary, or varied beaches along the Dyfed coastline.
Excellent hiking and climbing available in the nearby valley of Cwn Cywarch.
Cycling on the numerous bridleways and tracks, and purpose built cycle routes within forestry commission land, locally in the Coed y Brenin forest
A good knowledge of map reading essential, as very few way markers within the area
"Guided/escorted" rides are available, from £7 per hour, this is to be negotiated on dependant on own experience.
But unfortunately there are no horses for hire,
Sorry.
